mum, happy birthday!

she turns 44.

morning: it was, without doubt, boring. simply because it's just me, my mum and my youngest sister in the house. so there was nothing much to do. so i spent the whole morning sleeping. after wishing my mum a happy birthday, of course. wish, kena la awal-awal pagi kan.

afternoon: while we were on our way to fetch my other two sisters, i tried to find out what kind of cake my mum would want for this year, because since the last decade, if i remember it correctly, my family had been celebrating birthdays with chocolate cakes, just because maisarah had refused to accept any other kind of cake. and my mum had been wanting to have all the cupcakes sold at a cute stall at aeon au3, since mother's day if i'm not mistaken. i've suggested secret recipe, but my mum says: "their cakes are way too large." so i gave up. because i've got no other cakehouse to suggest. then i came out with this oh-so-brilliant idea. why don't i bake a cake myself? haha. but i dont have enough skills to do just that. so i decided to crash the kitchen kabinet in the hopes to find a cake mix. and so i found it. a chocolate cake mix. how ironic.

evening: my dad comes home. and so i said..

me: um, dad? why don't we go out for something to eat? to celebrate mum's birthday?
dad: eh? what are you having in mind?
me: uh, i was thinking maybe we could have dinner at taman permata's old town white coffee. but then again, mum said it's better if we go to kluang station. what do you think?
dad: i'd say we follow the birthday girl's wish.
me: haha. okay.

night: so all of us had dinner at kluang station, tesco ampang. and then my mum saw the most perfect cake to make her day. petite and delicious. a pandan cake! haha.

end of story.
