UMT and me.

it seems like every elements in umt have started their mission to call each and every student back to the campus. i mean, hey. there's seven days left before school reopens. can't you just leave us alone to enjoy our last bits of this hols?

i received a call from students council this afternoon, inviting me to join a horse-riding course. the first thing that came to my mind when i saw the number was, is there something wrong with my proposal? no, wait a minute, i haven't sent in any proposal since the holidays started. so, what do they want with me now?
and then, when i was informed of the invite, my heart jumped with joy. of course, i can't be jumping in reality for i was in a car at the time. right?
and then the person on the other line, kak hajar, asked me, "have you confirmed your tickets?". i said yes, despite the fact that my whole family is going to send me off to terengganu next week. well, eventhough that won't be considered as a ticket, my answer must be relevant since i've already made up my mind and plans.
i asked her, "why did you ask?" and she replied, "well, the thing is, this course i'm talking about is going to take place at 27th until 30th of june."
what? it's starting the day after tomorrow and you're only calling me now? that's insane. and unacceptable.
so she continued, "i've only recieved a confirmation from the sports unit that they've got an extra 20 seats left for the course. and i need a confirmation right now. so, if you are interested, you can just say so."
in shock, i automatically said, "um, i don't think i can make it. i've still got some matters to settle here in KL. i'm so sorry." those matters being my driving class and the time for me to pack all my stuffs.

well goodbye, horse-back ride.
i've said no to a cheap scuba-diving lesson before, and now i'm saying no to another great activity. what was i thinking?
