to get my laundry done, to clean up my messy room.
as i was stepping out of my room to get my laundry, suddenly there's this one girl approached me and started peeking into my room.
PY: are you a malay?
me: yeah. [why, do i look like i'm not a malay girl?]
PY: your room still has one vacancy is it?
me: um, yeah. the owner has still not moved in yet.
PY: do you know whose is it?
me: um, no. they pick random people to be room mates nowadays, remember?
PY: ah, yeah. of course. do you know if she wants the room or not, or whether she is still interning?
me: *rolls eyes* no. i don't know her. so i can't tell. but my other room mate and i are both second years.
PY: do you mind if i move in here? i mean, is there is a restriction for muslims to be living with non-muslims?
me: uh. you do? well, personally, i don't mind sharing a room with you. but i don't know about my room mate, though. she's not here, and i don't know her that well yet. i'll have to ask her first.
PY: oh, yeah? don't worry. i'll just be in the room to sleep, that's all. the thing is, last year i was placed here in the fifth floor, but now they have placed me at the highest floor of the old hostel. i don't want to go there, you see. i've got to move things up and down again, and i don't want that. so, if your room is really going to be one bed empty, can you please inform me? and i'll settle everything with the management.
me: okay, sure. give me your number and i'll get back to you later.
she irritates me. she is being utterly ridiculous! what the heck? i was from the fourth floor of that kind of hostel she's going to be moving in! and that's the highest they've got! and i moved my stuffs completely from my old block to my now room. and i'm doing just fine. i didn't die, for one thing. so what is the big deal?
just pack your stuffs, unpack it in your new room, and just get on with your life. why is that so hard?
should i share my room with her?
