friday
there was a larian hijrah organized by the university. i, being the superlazy couch potato when it comes to exercising, did not join the event. instead, my stay-at-room roomate did. oh, i'm so proud of her (no, i'm not being sarcastic. honest!). and she ran in the heavy rain, along with other participants. figures. the monsoon season in terengganu hadn't ended yet. so yes, we had to brave all the rain and storm if we and to get things done in time. some said they ran with umbrellas in their hands. and i, continued my oh-so-precious sleep.
but the enjoyment did not last for long. i still had to get myself out despite the rain to go to giant hypermarket. yes, ladies and gents, i do not consider myself settled in umt before i buy myself stuffs to fill up my now-crammed closet. and it's been a week since the semester opened. and i had not buy foodstuffs. so, rain or no rain, my friends and i just had to go. it's like a sacred obligation. HAHA.
in that rainy storm, we braved ourselves to the car rent shop (no, we don't have our own cars, thankyouverymuch.) and thankfully, the shop owner allowed us to take a car although he was already closing up for the day. phew!
so we went to giant, splurge ourself with pizza, bought the stuffs we need, and went back. we had to stay inside longer than we thought since the rain did not stop for the day.
=)
saturday
being the oh-so-celebrated final year students, for the first weekend of the semester we had to get up as early as 7.30 am to attend an executive talk held by the university. being a compulsory event, i could not say no though i was longing to stay in bed due to the freezing temperature of my room. but, eventually i attended the event.
the event was alright, i think. the just talked about how to apply for jobs, how to write a convincing proposal, and also how to manage yourself for an interview.
interesting and informative, yet somehow boring. i don't know what went wrong.
later that night, i attended for the annual 'majis anugerah kepimpinan pelajar' for the varsity.
for the first time of my life, despite having lived in terengganu for almost three years, i went inside taman tamadun islam.
the clubs that i joined in as commitees won 3 awards, in total.
2 for the math club, and 1 for scouts. hehe.
the food was good, though i did heard some complains at the end of the event.but, all is well. is getting nearer to the end of us, so might as well be thankful for what we have and what we get.
