names

went to a journalism seminar today. forced to attend, anyway. if not because of scout and my friends who wanted to attend so badly, i would've slept in. my room is the perfect place to be sleeping in peace, eventhough the cases of firecrackers exploding in the hostel compound is increasing.

makan free. itu yang penting.

after the program wraps up, someone came up and asked for my number. he was a student council representative, if i'm not mistaken (haha. busted for not knowing your own university's MPP. but hey, they don't do appearance as much as they should. so there's nothing much for me to be blamed.) my number was asked because MPP is going to organize a community event with the disabled. and they might invite UMT's scouts. and i am the scout's club secretary, after all.

then, he asked for my name. duh, obviously, what good will a phone number be without being attached with it's owner's name, right? so i replied, "bell". i mean, yeah, that's my nickname here. and a friend added, "letak saja nama dia loceng." haha. very funny. but then he asked, "sorry?" uh, oh. did i mess up? so i replied, "it's nabilah." and he said, "oh, that's a nicer name."

so the conclusion, my dear friends, be grateful for how you have been named. as the speaker of this seminar i had attended that pointed out, " your parents had been thinking way too hard just to come out with a name for you. you should cherish that name. that's the way of loving and thanking your parents for who you are."

notice how i've been incorporating my real name in everything i do? let it be my life or online. i love my name. love you, mum and dad. can't wait for aidilfitri.
XD
